Shape : The most frequently requested shapes for ceilings glass domes are square, round, octgonal, oblong, and oval; yet we can fabricate any shape to meet design preference or space requirements.

Lighting: Our domes are designed for interior placement, with no exposure to the elements. We can work with you, your lighting specialist, or contractor to make recommendations on how an overhead ceiling dome can be appropriately lit. The most common solutions are the installation of artificial lighting in the attic to illuminate the art glass or an exterior commercial skylight placed above the ceiling dome to supply natural light or, in some cases, both.

Jancik Arts International is one of the first to introduce faux-casted glass to the market. This trade protected technique allows us to create on-of-a-kind Starphire art glass pieces that are more affordable than authentic casted glass products, require minimum lighting, and take less time to produce. By using edge lighting, the design appears to radiate from within. Faux-casted glass is perfect for interior spaces, room dividers screens, booth dividers, tabletops, signs, and door inserts in lobbies, restaurants, and private residences. Each faux-casted design has a relief feel and can be as intricate or as simple as your project requires.

Fabrication

Art glass is not only our craft, it is our passion. We are committed to preserving the integrity of this centuries-old art form; that is why we choose to use Old World glass techniques - the very same techniques practiced by the craftsmen who built Europe's hollowed halls. This assembly method offers the most beautiful effectcs, as well as guarantees the longevity and structural soundness of JAI installations.

We use genuine stained glass for its long-lasting beauty and elegance. Unless specially requested, we do not use overlaid glass, plastic, or simulated products in any JAI installation.

Meticulous craftsmanship is the hallmark our our work. Every art glass creation is painstakingly assembled by hand by our team of talented artisans. From initial cutting to final placement, each individual piece of stained glass must be handled at least seven times. Possessing incredible patience and precision, the JAI craftspeople transform these fragile geometric shapes and colors into radiant images of strength and beauty.

JAI guarantees technical reliability. Fabrication of every JAI project meets all local safety and building codes.

Timeline

Production time depends on complexity. Each art glass piece is custom designed specifically for your and your project. Depending on complexity, completion can take an average of 5 to 12 months following design approval.

Progress reports keep you informed. One the project is underway, we will keep you informed of its status.

JAI works with you to meet your deadlines. We take a proactive approach to project management to anticipate any possible delays - we encounter and successfully resolve a variety of situations to ensure that every projects is delivered on schedule.

Shipping and Delivery

JAI takes every possible precaution to ensure safe delivery. Naturally, when dealing with glass, shipping and delivery are major considerations. JAI uses only the most reputable movers and shipping companies. We have also perfected our packing process, using foam between each panel of glass - all placed into custom wooden crates.

Installations are shipped in panels for easier handling. Prior to fabrication, our design team creates a structural system, dividing the installation into smaller parts. The size of these panels allows for more protective packing, as well as easier handling for shipping personnel and construction crews.

JAI guarantees delivery. In our 30+ years in business, JAI has shipped completed art glass projects to places around the globe, from Italy and Portugal to Japan and the Dominican Republic. Whatever your location, we are confident we can deliver to you.

Installation

Final assembly of the art glass creation takes place on site. Each JAL art glass project has two components - a steel or aluminum structural frame and the accompanying art glass panels. These materials will arrive at your location, unassembled in sections small enough to enter your building. The frame is assembled first and installed in your location; then, the art glass panels are inserted into this secured structural frame.

JAI supervises 90 percent of its installations. To ensure success, a JAI project manager and any necessary crew can travel to your site to personally supervise the installation of your frame and install your art glass; otherwise, the materials are delivered with instructions that can be interpreted easily by your general contractor.

JAI's installations are absolutely safe and secure. JAI's attention to detail during fabrication ensures that every installation renders a perfect, safe, and reliable fit into the structural frame. JAI guarantees that their glass dome structural components are installed to meet local building and safety codes.
